Hi Friends!!
It's time for another challenge over at the UYS challenge blog. This week the challenge is to use your die cuts. Pull out your punches, your big shot, your electronic cutter or hey....pull out your store bought die cuts to use on a card, a layout or any type of project! Be sure to add your creation so that we can see what you were inspired to create.

Here's my overall layout, I'm really getting back into creating 2 page layouts lately. I'm making this one ahead of time so that all I will have to do is add photos at a later date.

The leaves along the top are actually fussy cut, then two of the three leaves on the left corner are cut using my spellbinders dies.

The leaves over the title are cut with my spellbinders die and then one below is fussy cut.

I curled up the edges and then attached the leaves using glue dots.

Same here, the leaves cut with my spellbinders die turned out a little smaller than the fussy cut leaves but they still added to the overall look I was going for.

Banners are always a good addition.

Finally I used a scalloped label die from spellbinders to cut out this stamped image. It was a very tight fit and some of the outer edges were cut away with the die and I had to add the ink back in those spots.

I hope you are able to play along this week over at the UYS challenge blog.

Use Your Stuff Challenge #195--Ribbon

Hello friends!!

Today our challenge at the Use Your Stuff Challenge blog is to use ribbon.
I pulled an older paper pack from my stash, it's from Close to My Heart and called Pathfinding. Of course I can never stick to just what's in the package, I have to add my own bits from my stash. I love how this layout came together!!

I used orange ribbon along the orange leaf paper and then ended up covering most of it us with the embellishments and then the photo mats.

I created the beige pattern paper above and below the ribbon by stamping on it.

I pulled in an alphabet from American crafts, it has a wonderful brown glitter finish.

I layered sequins with bitty bits of bling and scattered the dots from the alpha around with each cluster.

Don't you just love those leaf skeletons and the silk leaves?
They have quite literally been in my stash forever...prolly like 12-15 years or more.

I love too that I was able to  use those flowers from recollections on this page, they have been in my stash for a very long time.

And finally the birds, they came from the $1.50 bin at Michaels a couple of months ago.

Don't forget to head over to the UYS bog and upload your project, we would love for your to play along with us and inspire us with what you use from your stash!
