Christmas is in the Air--Layout #12

Here's another Christmas layout from 2012, I don't think I'm going to get caught up to 2014 this year but that's ok, it just means that I will have more photos to scrap before Christmas next year.

I was inspired to create this layout by a sketch from Pagemaps June 2010, does anyone else print out their sketches every month to keep on hand?

The small letter stickers are from the sticker sheet I added in from Teresa Collins, can you tell where I had to Frankenstein a letter?

I love that I was able to add more of the gold reindeer to this page and also another of those JC Penny's flair.

The journal spot on this page is the last one in the embellishment pile, but I think there is actually one more on the punch out page from Teresa Collins.

I cut another bit off the bling roll and added it to this layout. I'm nearly at the end of the roll that I added to the embellishment pile.

Christmas is in the Air--more paper & Layout #11

So it's time to add a little more cardstock to my pattern paper, I still haven't added any more embellishments and I'm using up all the ones I've pulled! Super exciting right!?!

I've added 3 of green, one red and one brown cardstock pieces of paper.

So now onto the layout, the photos are again from 2012.
I used a sketch from Pagemaps to start this layout, it's from Aug 2009.

The flair on all of my pages this month have been leftovers from several years ago, they are mostly from JC Penny's. Who else has gobs and gobs of these left? I am determined I am going to eventually going to get them used up!! LoL!! The sentiment is stamped and embossed, I had stamped it for something else several weeks ago and never used it so it went into my embellishment pile for this month.

I used up tons of word punch outs and stickers here, I even used several embellishments from a package of buttons and chipboard pieces. The "Warmest Wishes" circle is one that I stamped and punched out for another project that didn't get used. the "oh Joy" sentiment over the title is a bit of border strip that I have had for several years.

The felted Christmas trees are the last bit of a border strip that was in my stash for years. I think that may actually be the very last one that I have.

April 2014 CKC--Everyday Life Caught on Film

For this throwback Sunday I am sharing a layout from my April 2014 CKC. I worked on this kit from May through August this year so I'm not really sure when I actually made it.

This is what happens when you leave Mr. Gulley to watch his grandee....a Dorito's nap! I used Sketch 32:08.08.13 from Shimelle.com.

Love the bits of chipboard, stickers and pearls on this layout.

This quote  is from a CTMH kit from many years ago. I just kept holding onto it hoping that I would finally use it and I did!

I was able to cut apart a whole sheet of these words and I got tons and tons of use from them on lots of the layouts from this kit.

2014 Birthday Cards

I went to a scrapbooking retreat in 2013 that was sponsored by a SU representative. For the price of the retreat we were given some SU product and in that was a card kit. I made some up at the retreat and then promptly put the rest away and forgot all about them...untill I was cleaning off my scrap room table several weeks ago getting ready to go on vacation. I found the leftover and took them with me on vacation to finish them off.

I  dressed them up with some stamps, bling and even fabric tape and got them ready for birthday giving. No close ups of the inside or the envelopes but, be assured, I did stamp on the inside and the envelopes.

Christmas is in the Air--Layout #10

I'm still working my way through my December 2012 Christmas photos.
I was inspired to create this layout by a Pagemaps from March 2014. I'm not so sure I'm in love with this page but at least it's done and will go into my album now.

The ho, ho, ho ornament embellishment is from years and years ago, it just goes to show that if you really like it and hold onto it you will eventually use it up. The piece under the gingerbread man is another leftover from the Pear & Partridge papers that I started with.

These are the final bits of the red and green bling strips, I'm pretty sure I have more rolls of the stuff in my Christmas stash but the roll that I pulled out for my December embellishment pile is completely used up.

Here are a couple more pieces of leftover Pear & Partridge papers and also some leftover paper ribbon pieces along with the last bit of the polka dot ribbon I found in my wrapping paper bin this year. The sentient tag is actually a piece that I used my tag dies to cut out Christmas cards with.

I also added the last 2 stickers off a sticker sheet and even added in another gold reindeer.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas family, friends and anyone else who comes over and peeks at my blog on occasion!

Today is another day that is full of happiness mixed with a little sadness.
I am extremely happy that my children and grand children are here to spend Christmas with Mr. Gulley and I.
I am sad that my brother Kenneth and my sweet pup Zena won't be.

I hope each of you has a blessed Christmas day!

Christmas is in the Air--Layout #9

I just don't think this photo does justice to my Christmas tree, the tree itself is 10 foot tall.
I was inspired to make this layout from a Pagemaps from June 2009.

Lots more bits and pieces from my embellishment and sticker piles. The dark brown embellishment below the calendar is a rub on and I added a little heart to the tag with the year and the Christmas tree.

I layered up some of the bigger cards that I had left in my embellishment pile for the title, I added some holly leaves and some Christmas trees. I also used another dark brown felted rub on here. I also added one of the longer pieces of paper tape that I had left to embellish down the side along with a strip of red bling.

Christmas is in the Air--Layout #8

I love this time of the year and I love having lots of photos to scrapbook that match the season! The photos are from Christmas morning 2012.

I used a Pagemaps sketch from May 2009 to start building this layout.

The Christmas sentiment was on a sticker sheet with red and green elements that felt almost neon, but on this dark brown cardstock I really like the look of it!

I pulled out an older border punch that I don't think I've used since last Christmas when I was making border strips for the kids to make paper trees on canvas. I also found the polka dot ribbon in my ribbon container that I had pulled out to wrap presents with last week. I ironed it out and added it into my stash.

I used more leftovers from the CTMH Pear & Partridge paper pack to the banners that I punched out from Teresa Collins. I had used both of the border strips on previous layouts and these are the leftovers. The green piece behind the gold foil Christmas tree is an embossed paper that I had left over from making a Christmas card months ago.

Christmas Card Monday

It's Monday and time for a Christmas Card. I now it's nearly Christmas but I have one more to share for this year. I already have plans to start working on Christmas cards for next year. LoL!!

I was scrolling through my FB groups and one of them issued a challenge for December to use washi tape. So I thought I would make a Christmas tree from washi tape to use on a card. So here is what I came up with. I added some pearls to act as tree ornaments.

Simple stamping on the inside and the front of the envelope using CTMH stamps.

April 2014 CKC--You Crack Me Up Sweet Chick A Dee

For throw back Sunday I am sharing a layout that I made a long while ago using my April 2014 CKC kit.

I love the overall feel of this page along with all the really bright colors! I used Sketch 48 from Sketch-N-Scrap.

I love that I was able to use several different fonts and some random stickers and bits of chipboard.

I was even able to use a couple of cut apart journal spots , they are layered up here, I even used lots of scraps to make the banners along the bottom right.

2014 Birthday Cards

These cards are actually 2 years old. LoL!! I started them 2 years ago and then with them in partial completion I put them away and promptly forgot about them. I found them right before we left for vacation this year as I was digging through my card bin, where I keep my card bases and envelopes.

I grabbed them up and actually took them with me on vacation and finished them up.

The scraps were from a kit that I put together for a Shimelle challenge for national scrap booking day in 2012.

I had put one completely together and then put all the elements on the inside of that one.

I still had to fussy cut all the stamped cakes, so I did that on vacation.

I had already stamped the sentiments on the patterned papers and inside the cards.

I added some washi tape to each one on top of the pattern paper.

I also popped up each of the cakes with foam adhesive.

After I photographed these cards I went back and added some wink of Stella to each candle flame for some added dimension.

Christmas is in the Air--Layout #7

I'm sharing another layout from 2012. I feel really bad for not being caught up on scrapbooking, but I love that I have photos to scrap right now that are related to the season! LoL!!

I was inspired to make this layout using a sketch from Pagemaps January 2010, I tried to copy but the page maps listed on the January 2010 post were actually from January 2011. So sorry I can't show you the sketch.

Pretty simple layout with lots of fabulous embellishments. I even added another branding strip down the side, can you tell which one it is?

The green tag had joy & delight on it but because I used a sticker with joy on the top cluster I covered the bottom joy up.

Christmas is in the Air--Layout #6

I've used papers that I pulled to add to the cardstock that I had left over from the initial stack of papers I pulled to make Christmas layouts. I even used a couple of leftover scraps from the CTMH Pear & Partridge paper that I made embellishments from.

I was inspired to make this layout using a sketch from Pagemaps January 2010, I tried to copy but the page maps listed on the January 2010 post were actually from January 2011. So sorry I can't show you the sketch.

Lots of rub-ons here from the Pear & Partridge got used on this layout.

The "Christmas is" is part of a branding strip that I cut down.

I added another leftover or two here, the birds on the tag is actually a cut down tag from a Christmas card from a few years ago and the "Christmas is a time for giving" is another branding strip from the Pear & Partridge papers.

The snowflake wood veneer is a new purchase from this year with a scrap piece of paper behind it.
