CTMH old card kit remains

Recently I was cleaning out a large bin that I have in my closet full of blank cards in various sizes along with some other random stuff...well I found a partial CTMH card kit from eons ago! I had used part of the kit to make a mini album for my niece, it turned out super cute, but I don't think I ever took pictures of it!
So out came the remainder of the kit, which contained stickers, pre printed card bases and lovely vellum envelopes.

I added some foam tape for a little dimension.

Oh...and some stamps...

I grabbed several older stamp sets and just had some fun stamping different sentiments and a few flowers here and there.

I just love how these turned out! So into my card stash they went for when I need a quick card.

Birthday Card #3

Today I have a birthday card to share, the 3rd one this month. I didn't really start with any inspiration for this card, I just wanted to use some scraps and the last piece of of one of my most favorite ribbons ever!
I think the ribbon may have originally been from BG but I won't swear to that, I've used it on many cards and layouts over he years and this is the very last piece I have. I keep all my little bits of ribbon for cards in a clip hung over my desk, some days I will just pull the clip down and see what inspires me and today it was this ribbon.

The inside has another bit of the yellow paper I used as a border for the stamped image on the front of the card. It's also the last piece of this marbled yellow paper that I have. I know the paper has been in my stash forever and I don't know who made it but I cut into it within the last year or so when it was a part of one of my CKC kits.

Christmas 8x8 Cheater Album

The making of a cheater album!
LoL!!!
Really, it is a cheater!
Every year I make 2 Christmas albums as gifts, one for my mother and another for Mr Gulley's father. For the last 2 or 3 years I have used a paper stack and additional cardstock to make the base pages. Each month I make several pages for the album, I make them without photos and put the measurements for the photos on the photo mats. Alot of the time I will modify 12x12 sketches for these 8x8 pages which can be a little difficult, but somehow I make it work.
I added some stitching to this layout.

I added green ribbon to this layout.

More green ribbon added to this layout.

I wish I had taken pictures once I had added the photos...oh well!

See what having a good time gets you... April CKC

I have another layout from my April Spring Fever CKC. I have loved this kit and have used up so much of the paper. I have used up all the cardstock and have had to add the base piece for this layout. I've still got some hopes that I may completely kill this kit before the 30th!

Today's layout was inspired by the Sketch-y Friday week 3 sketch from Shopscrapmuch. If you've never seen their sketches stop by and have a look, they are fabulous!!

I never would have thought all of these paper and embellishments could be worked together. If it hadn't been for the inspiration kit this month over at the CKC blog I would never try mixing these colors together.

I had to cut the journal spot apart and then put it back together to make it fit the space I put it.

My journaling kind of blinds in to the background and I'm ok with that.

Love those little cut apart tags.

There is just something about mixing alphas to create a title that I just love! Can't explain it, I'm just drawn to it more that a single alpha title.

Mom & Me

I was inspired to create this layout using the Week 2 sketch at Let's Get Sketchy blog. I used my April Spring Fever CKC kit.

This is my sweet daughter in law with my beautiful grand daughter!

Love that mist color!

I love mixing embellishments to create little clusters!

How uncommon is this? I used lagoon ink from CTMH, mint green ink splatters and a turquoise sharpie and they all matched!

I had to Frankenstein the 3rd M since I ran out of them. I also added a piece of white cardstock behind the washi tape to make it pop.

Supplies used:
Bazzill white & blue cardstock; MME lush red diamond b side paper, good day sunshine sunny stripes paper & lush black alpha; Scenic Route garden grove b side paper; Bo Bunny olivia ambrosia a & b sides & combo stickers; SEI silk road b side paper; Recollections journal spot, flare & washi; Melissa Frances resin flower; Studio Calico wood veneer birds; Elle's studio you and me lil' snippets labels & circles; CTMH lagoon ink; Heidi Swapp color shine mint green; Sharpie pen; WRMK street signs stamp; CTMH C1554 Chantilly Cardmaking Workshop stamp
