July CKC Kit Leftovers Card

I had lots of little bits and pieces left over from my July CKC kits so I made this card. I followed a sketch fromThe Pink Elephant blog. Of course I didn't get it posted soon enough to enter their challenge, but it was fun completing the challenge!

I double stamped the title and inside sentiment because the orange I stamped with was too light and I love the shadow effect it gives!

That's it for today!

Remember When...

This is the final layout for my July CKC kit #2, I managed to squeeze out 14 layouts from this second kit and only had to add 2 additional pieces of cardstock.

July CKC Kit #2, Layout #14
This layout is based on an Allison Davis sketch from the travel sketches book, it's a 5 photo sketch. This sketch wasn't heavy on patterned paper so it make using up some scraps easy. I love that I used so many stickers as well!  Did I mention that I love stickers? They are soo fun and easy!!

Sorry about the glare, the sun decided to come out this morning!

Some of the stickers I popped up with pop dot adhesive.

I used some little letter on this banner for the word family.

I used the pre-made pennants on the photos themselves

I finally used a bit of the measuring tape ribbon on this layout. I also popped up the journal spot on this side of the layout.

That's it for today.

Cousins Friends

Today's layout is another layout that highlights my sweet grand daughter Shani and her cousin Paige. Everywhere that Paige went Shani was at least 1 or 2 steps behind her, even if it was just to sit quietly and watch TV with her feet propped up and leaned back. Of course in the photos Paige is having lots of fun with her camera!

July CKC Kit #2, Layout #13

I used a sketch from Sketch Inspiration, this was for challenge #331. This is another sketch site that I have been visiting a lot lately because of all the wonderful sketches and talented members there!

Upper left corner cluster.

I journaled on strips of paper with inked edges.

Title and lower right corner cluster. I used the orange sticker letters with this layout and more of the brown letter squares and little orange letters stuck to plain cardstock.

That's it for today.

True Love

I only have a few more layouts to show from my July CKC kit #2. Today's layout is a favorite, I love that my father in law dotes on all of his grand children and great grand children. I'm sure if you asked each one of them they would assure you that they are indeed his favorite grandchild. I'm not sure how our family got to be soo lucky to have such a wonderful man for our father, grand father and great grand father!!

July CKC Kit #2, Layout #12

I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers, it's #219. I just love their sketches!!

I love that I was able to use these chipboard pieces and lots of the little bits and pieces that I had left in the kit on this layout as well as some scrap paper cut into hexagon shapes!!
I stitched the buttons down to the page and also cut out a few more tag/ticket pieces to tuck in here and there.

That's it for today.

I won!!!

I can't believe that I won this beautiful kit for just participating at Sketch~N~Scrap, the sponsor for the month was Scrappy Chics monthly kit club. I love to win things!!! I can't wait to dig into this kit and start playing with it!! But until I have time to do that I have lots of unfinished projects left to finish up plus I have my August Counterfeit Kit to work on. Hmmmm...I'm thinking some of these beautiful papers or embellishments might just make it into that kit!

Blessed

Today's layout is one that I made using my July CKC kit #2. I  had printed out a sketch to use from Stuck Sketches and then when I was headed to their site to post it yesterday I realized it was for their design team call. I would so love to apply to design teams, but I just can't make the commitment! Not only do I work full time but I go to school full time. Right now scrapping is my only form of stress relief!!!
So even though I I'm not posting it for the design team call, I am posting it here! LoL!! I do like how this one turned out!

July CKC Kit #2, Layout 11
I don't know that I like the journaling right on the paper, but I'm trying to be more flexible and less rigid about the things I do.

On the center photo I inked the 2 little adhesive corner sticker and layered them to emphasize it.
Well, that's it for today!

July CKC Kit 2 Leftovers

I put together 2 kits for July CKC and these are the leftover from kit 2. I love that I destroyed this kit by using so much of it. Sure I have lots left over to make cards and such with, but really, I'm ready to move on to the next kit. Since the August kit was revealed yesterday I plan on spending some time putting it together, plus I have several other projects that I want to finish up! I still have a few more layouts and a card to post from this kit, so stop back by to check those out in the next couple of days.

These are the leftover pattern paper and cardstock from kits 1 & 2.

The few journal blocks and book pages left from both kits.

Leftover embellishments.
This is the patterned paper that I used to cut out so many little tags for both kits.
Here are the leftover alphas, the only one I'm getting rid of is the blue/brown set on the left end, they don't stick so well and they didn't fold over like they should have. I have faith that I will be able to find a use for the rest.

How's that for leftover stickers, from both kits? I used tons of stickers on my pages!! I guess I'm still one of those people that still love and use stickers all the time!!

$10 a Month Club--Treasured Friend June

I'm a little behind posting this one, it was the card we made for the June CTMH $10 month club at my friend Audrey's, the front was decorated with their glitter glaze in the the middle of the flower, stamping on the left side and down the seam line. We also stamped the flower and leaves with staz-on ink and used the CTMH watercolor pencils and blending tool to blend the colors

I also stamped the front of the envelope with the same border stamp that is down the left side of the card front.

The sentiment is for a friend...now who to give it to!

Not Yet!

I'm not done posting my July CKC kit #2 layouts, I've been working and haven't had time to take pictures and upload them. So for today I am going to post another layout made from my May CKC kit. I still have lots of those that I haven't even shown yet.

May CKC kit 3 / Layout 1

This has to be one of my favorite layouts! And yes it is an Allison Davis Sketch! She makes using multiple photos so easy! I love the feel of the 2 pagers and I miss doing so many of them. But I have really been stretching my wings by doing so, so, so many 1 page layouts...that's just not the norm for me!
I had a small piece of prima bling packaging that I used here as well as a couple of stickers. I popped the little flower up with a pop dot. I used some little yellow stickers on the journal spot as well.
Here's the title sticker that I popped up with pop dots! Love that metallic look to it with the soft colors! It makes my heart sing ♫ blingggggg ♫!!!!
I popped up another sticker on pop dots and you can see the little chipboard piece that I used on my grandfather's photo, I wanted it to be identifiable as the main photo since they are all 4x6.
I used a small leftover piece of an overlay here and added some flat pink flowers and another popped up flower.

The rest of the week will probably be a blur! I have to drive to Amarillo, TX at daylight, a dear friends husband was in a horrible semi truck accident and is in the hospital there with a 5 fractures in his neck and his lungs are still a little too unstable to talk about surgery at this point. I'm asking my friends and followers to send a little prayer up on Behr's behalf for quick healing!

Friday and Saturday will be spent in a classroom taking a pharmacology class and final exam on Saturday!! Ugh....did I mention at any time that I dislike tests and typically get text anxiety soo bad it affects my grades? So send up another little prayer for me on Saturday morning as I am taking my final exam...calmness and wisdom are what I need!

I really do appreciate all the people who take the time to stop by and leave comments!!!

Family -- May CKC Kit 2

I've got another layout from my May CKC kit to share today. I used another AD sketch, so loving those sketches, they allow me to get so much done!

May CKC kit 2 / Layout 3
total 6 pages combined = 15 pages
If you couldn't already tell from all the layouts I have posted so far, I have mainly used the May kits to scrapbook our family reunion from last year. I didn't make it to the reunion this year so looking at these layouts is kind of a balm for my soul!

One of the chipboard packs I included with this kit had this really cute frame in it. I also used some washi tape to journal on.

I dressed up my chipboard flours with some sequins in the middle and even used some chipboard photo corners out of the pack as well.

The sticker title was pretty flash and I wasn't sure I was going to use it for this layout since all the other colors are pretty muted. But adding the sequins to the chipboard flowers balanced it out.

So this is the last full layout that I made from Kit 2, I'm up to 15 pages so far. I continued to use bits and pieces of the leftovers to make more layouts.
