Holiday Gifts

Here's the acrylic frames that I made into post-it note holders.  One will be for me and the rest are going to co-workers.

And here are the 3 day planners I personalized for my kids.

CTMH Dreamin layouts

Here are more layouts using the CTMH Dreamin kit and I used an older stamp set from last year. The pictures are of my daughter in law Misty's parents and older son Cameron and new daughter Zoë.

Idea organization

I finished week #7 of the organization challenge--ideas. I set aside all but a few magazines and I cut out all the layouts/ideas I pulled from the magazines and put them into their basket slots by number of photos on each layout or by card idea or other. I even dressed up my divider and tabs. Remember all that blue paper I haven't been using from paper week, well I only used blue paper in my basket. Each divider sheet was plain white cardstock and I covered each one with a blue patterned paper and for each tab I punched blue scraps of cardstock with my Quickutz tab dies and used leftover number stickers to label them. I stored my magazine files (I even have an empty one) and idea basket on the shelf over my desk and my CTMH books, catalogs and sketch books are all filed in a cube to the right of my scrap desk. I'm not sure if everything will live where it's placed at right now, but it works for the moment.

Zoë's first layout...

This layout uses this month's CTMH Dreamin kit and it's the first layout that I've made of Zoë.

I just realized while I'm looking at this that the layouts are photographed in the opposite order. The dandelion flowers are blowing in the wind across the layouts.

Those letters aren't from CTMH, they are old American Craft from my stash.

2 part process for the circle border along the bottom, I stamped the circles and then used glitter glue to color around them.

Christmas decorating...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!
I know this photo doesn't really do it justice, but our Christmas tree is all blinged out! It's absolutely beautiful!!! And in case you can't tell just how enormous our tree is, it's 10 foot tall and at least 5 foot wide at the base. It's definitely a pain in the kiester to decorate, but it's so worth it!

That's me working on a wreath, Mr Gulley wanted it up on the wall in the living room this year and in order to dress it up some I put some lights on it and some golden poinsettias, nothing too fancy, just pretty.

Idea Organization

It's week #7 of the Organization challenge over at 2 Peas in a Bucket. That means that I have to pull out all of my magazines, my idea files and sketch books.I gathered from all over my office and closet and stacked up everythin on my desk. I sorted all of my AD Sketch Books, Page Map Book, CTMH books and catalogs out and put them on a shelf by my desk because I refer to them frequently. I went through all of my magazine files and threw out old ideas that I have already tried or was no longer interested in. I sorted throug most of my magazines, I left all of the Simple Scrapbook magazines and the last 2 years of Paper Crafts on the shelf as well as 2 Becky Higgens sketch magazines, 2 mini album idea books, and several other idea magazines that I refer to once in a while. The last thing to work on is my idea basket. I have pulled out layouts from different magazines over the years and have filed them into my basket that is divided by the number of photos on the layout, cards or misc. ideas. I have a stack of magazine pages I've pulled out that I need to cut down further and sort into the basket. I also want to dress up the dividers and put new labels on them, something that is relatively pretty since I will store them on the shelves over my desk now.

Photo Organization Update

Here's a quick update on my photo organization. I have managed to get all of 2011 into albums, that's them in the first photo. I've stacked up like photos in the same sleeves for later scrapbooking and sharing purposes.

Next photo is all the boxes I've emptied so far, they were half full or had random photos in them and they have all been sorted either into other boxes or into albums.

Here's all of them back on the shelf, since I've made this picture I've actually filled another album with the remainder of 2010, so all of 2010 are in albums as well. I plan to work on this project more this week as I finish up my idea organization.

Snowman Family

We had our family Thanksgiving on Nov. 6, it seems ages and ages ago. On the 5th I had planned a craft project for my grandson Cameron and I to do since he was spending the night. We made a snowman family with mother, father, brother and baby sister...OK so I provided the jars and paint and cut the felt and scarves that my daughter in law Misty picked out. LoL!!! We have quite the funky snow people!!! They took them home and put lights in the jars and they glow beautifully. The best part though is that Cameron got to be creative and he actually said that doing crafts was funner than being on the computer....who would've guessed?!?!
