PL Week 11--March CKC

I completed these week 11 pages while on retreat the first weekend in May. Nope, I'm not caught up but I'm ok with that! I have decided while doing my March pages that I will use more of a monthly format, meaning that if I have too many photos for one week I will carry them over to the next week, I'm not going to be as rigid this month about getting everything on the exact week!

I made these pages using my March Stop & Shop CKC kit, I love all the bright colors in this kit and I am determined to use it up before the end of May!
Sorry about the glare, I really didn't want to take all the layouts out of the page protectors.

Left page.

Right Page.

My old lady Zena soaking up the sun!

They roll in the floor all the time.

The new pope and lots of packages to open.

Opening packages!

My son, grand daughter and daughter in law.

Not entirely happy with this date card but it's done so I'm leaving it.

My son and grandson.

When my boys were little I always made their meals look fun, well now that I have my grandchildren around there's no since in changing my ways. I cut a huge chunk out of the top teeth to represent my granddaughter Shani, she's lost all of her top teeth at once.

Me!

Something about wearing this jersey to the gym or just out and about on Texas Rangers game day makes this guy happy....or a glutton for punishment! LoL!!

Snuck in a little piece of vellum.

I wasn't sure I was going to leave this photo in here since I wanted to scrap it on a single page but you know me, once it's in.... it's in and it ain't coming out! So I will print another photo to do a single page with!

My Sister My Friend--August 2012 CKC

This layout is based on a sketch from Creative Scrappers. It's also put together with the August 2012 CKC kit I put together. I love this paper...it was from a package I won from sketch'n'scrap.

This layout has obviously been in my drafts for a while, although I didn't even post my August 2012 CKC until September, LoL!!!

Love the layered journaling on those journal blocks.

I cut a couple of leafy vine borders into smaller sections to use on this layout.

The title is from letter stickers, I really thought at first it was a Quickutz Lifestyle cut title, I think it's prolly why I bought those stickers!

Love that I was able to use some more borders and I was able to layer up several tags.

I wanted to dress up the lace border on the paper so I added some pearl paint dots.

Next weekend I will catch up a couple more layouts from last year...I can't believe I totally forgot about these layouts in my draft section!

My Love For You...August 2012 CKC

This layout is based on a sketch at Sketch'n'Scrap. I love that I was able to incorporate a ton of scraps and washi tape on this layout. I used my August 2012 CKC kit for this layout.

I had forgotten I had loaded several layouts into drafts last year with the intention of posting them and for some reason just never did...till now!

Love those mixed alpha titles

I used clear stickles on the heart to bling it up.

I stamped this heat on blue paper with yellow ink to make it green, the areas that showed yellow I covered with blue stickles to make everything green, I even added some yellow pearl paint to accent.

I used yellow pearl paint around the heart.

That journal spot was on a cut apart sheet at one time, but for heaven's sake don't ask me from where! LoL!!

I think the next several weekends will see these summary layouts on my blog so I can move them out of the draft section!!

Birthday Cards--April CKC

I was about to deconstruct my April Spring Fever CKC kit and noted that I had lots of little scraps that I didn't necessarily want to keep but didn't want to toss out either.

So whats a girl to do????

Make birthday cards of course.

I cut all those little bits of paper into circle, believe me I have more than what's shown here, grabbed some pearls and bling and some stamps and well...here we are!

I even added circle to the inside of the cards! If I could have figured out a way to attach them to the outside of the card, believe me, I would have!

I scattered the circles  along with some bling and pearls and a few foam adhesive squares and there ya go! These were sort of assembly line cards, I stamped all the sentiments and then went back and added all the circles at one time. I think this is a trick I will have to use again! I'm always looking for ways to use up my scraps!!

I was able to make a total of 9 layouts and 4 cards with my April Spring Fever CKC kit!

Christmas 2013 Album #1

I completed this album the weekend that I was away on retreat, May 2 to 5.  I used the SEI Mayberry collection to complete this album, it's a travel themed collection but I don't think you would know it by looking at these layouts. Plus I did a little stamping and sewing and added a few hexagon embellishments and brads.
This album, along with another, will be packed away until December, that's when I will pull them out and go through my photos for the year to fill them up. I give 2 albums for Christmas, one to my father in law and one to my mother.
Here it is, all 20 pages! This is an 8x8 album and I used Scrapbook Generation 1 page sketches to complete it. I sorted the pages by 1 photo, 2 photo, etc... but I won't put them in the album in this order, it's just easier for counting photos when Christmas gets here to have them sorted like this.

1 photo layouts

2 photo layouts

3 photo layouts

4 photo layouts

5 photo layouts

You prolly noticed that I added the dimensions for the photos, some of the mats will be used as mats and others are just place markers so that I will know what size to cut the photos. I still have some embellishments left and once I decide on the photos in December then I will decide if I need to add any additional embellishments.

Do you make Christmas albums for anyone? Do you wait till December to make them?
I usually make several pages each month and then by December I have them all done, but because of school this year I decided to make both albums while I was on retreat. I will share the other one next week.
I hope my endeavors inspire you to share your crafting with others!
