XOXO--Jan 2017

Hello Friends!!

Today I am sharing a layout I created using my January 2017 Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit.  The photo is of my sweet hubby and myself last summer. I never really think about how pale I am until I see myself next to him and he's all tan. Ugh!!

I was inspired to create this layout by Sketch # 258 at the Sketches in Thyme Blog.

I added the chipboard title and some twine to make it a banner, I anchored the chipboard with a couple of brads.

I cut one of the wood veneer tags and stretched it to come out the bottom of the photo, I did the same with the burlap.

I also added in some enamel dots and even some die cut butterflies from my leftovers bowl on my desk.

I even pulled in some buttons from my BASHket to use on this layout. I layered them up and tied some twine through them.

Tis The Season to Believe--Dec 2015 scrap stash

Hello Friends!!

Today I am sharing a layout I made using my December 2015 scrap stash kit. It included supplies that I had bought in the past couple of months to supplies that I have hade for nearly 10 years.

The layout is of my sweet grandee Ele meeting Santa Clause for the first time. She was as excited as you can expect an 8 month old to be...she did sit still but she puckered up and was crying the whole time.

The Merry Christmas paper is one that I embossed in 2014 to use on Christmas cards and never got it used, I glad I held onto it and actually got it used here. The tis the season clear sticker is one that I bought at least 10 year ago if not longer.

Love the gold doilies that I added to my stash this month.

The background flourished paper is from CTMH, I'm not sure if it's from 2014 or 2015.

Oh What Fun--Dec 2015 scrap stash

Hello Friends!!

Today I'm sharing a layout that I made using my December 2015 scrap stash kit. I pulled lots of supplies, some from the last couple of month to some from the last 2-10 years. LoL!! I know...I'm a hoarder when it comes to Christmas supplies. I do occasionally clean some out...like ever 4 or 5 years.

This layout is of my sweet grandee Ele, she was getting ready to go see Santa Clause. She was soo tiny in this photo, only 8 months old.

These ornament stickers are from Hobby Lobby and have been in my stash forever, I bought about 10 packages of them years and years ago for a Christmas project and I have nearly used them all up, I think I have about 1 package left after this layout.

The second banner piece with a star on it is actually from an old Christmas card that I received years ago. I save my Christmas cards and every few years I get out my punches and dies and chop them up to use in scrapbooking and card making projects.

The bling border along the bottom is actually quite old as well and is part of a longer page border, I just cut it in half and used part of it here.

You & Me--Jan 2017

Hello Friends!!

Today I am sharing a layout I created using my January 2017 Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit.

I was inspired to create this layout my Maven Lisa at the Sketches in Thyme blog. She initially started out with Sketch #256.

I love the mixture of the blues and greens and even copper and wood tones.

Here I mixed all types of flowers and enamel dots. I cut the papers along the bottom at an angle and used some washi tape to separate the 2, I even pulled in some copper tape since there was copper ones in the mats behind the photos.

The wood look piece had a boys silhouette on it and I didn't really have a use for it, so I used it for a layering piece.

I had pulled this word for another layout and didn't use it so I decided to use it here. I also added some green arrow brads along the washi tape for some added dimension and color.

Miss Ruldolph--Dec 2016

Hello Friends!!

Today I am sharing a layout I created with my December 2016 Stash kit.

I freehanded a star image on the back of the red paper and then held the gold paper up to it and cut that out.

I used star stickers, star enamel pieces and woodd veneer stars.

The photo is of my grandee Shani and she was dressed as Rudolph for her Christmas musical at school.

Just layered up some washi and ribbon at the bottom of the layout and a ticket to signify the date.

Showing up close that there are about 5 different layers on this layout including paper, washi and ribbon.

Home--Jan 2017

Hello Friends!!!

Today I am sharing a layout I created using my January 2017 Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit. The photo is of my Mother.

I was inspired to create this layout using Sketch #257 at the Sketches in Thyme blog.

I used a couple of tags to ground the wood veneer piece, they came out of my leftover bowl on my desk. I used chipboard pieces to create a banner along the top of the photo.

I used more chipboard, the buttons are chipboard and I just used the twine to thread them. I love that I was able to use another of those beautiful flower wood veneers.

Lots of scraps along the bottom, the floral paper is a 6x6 piece of paper. I've tucked in the wood veneer tag and added quite  few more bits from my leftover bowl on my desk, the fleur de leis sticker and the 365 card.

Use Your Stuff Challenge #247--So Very Blessed--Jan 2017

Hello Friends!!

This weeks challenge is to use at least 3 6x6 pieces of paper on a layout or project. So...I took a little creative license with this, only because I had a 4x6 and a 6x6 paper pad in the kit I used to create the layout. So, in the end, I used 2 of the 4x6 sheets and 1 of the 6x6 sheets to layer under the photo. Love that I was able to use a few more sheets of paper from my stash!

Today I am sharing a layout I created with my January 2017 Counterfeit Kit Challenge Kit.
The layout was inspired by the January 7,2017 sketch at STUCK sketches. I also used several pieces from my BASHket on this layout.

The photo is of my sweet hubby and myself.

The felt border piece on this cluster and below the photo is from by BASHket. Can you see that I also stamped Love U below the cluster.
I even tucked a frame from my BASHket under the dark brown and white floral paper.

I mixed 2 alpha stickers along with the sentiment sticker to create the title.

I layered up washi tape, the felt strip and burlap in an L shape.

Finally the silver border strip is from my BASHket, glad I was able to use one on this layout.

I hope you are inspired to dig into your stash and join us over at the UYS Challenge blog, we would love to see what you create using the challenge this week.

Christmas Cards 2016

Hello Friends!!

Today I am sharing some cards that I created using my December 2015 Scrap Stash Kit.

I embossed the metallic sheen paper with an embossing folder.

Another embossing folder used along with multiple metal snowflakes and a flair.

Here I used several scrap and die cut pieces along with washi tape.

I used a premade wreath embellishment on this card.

Again another premade wreath embellishment.

I Believe--Dec 2015 scrap stash

Hello Friends!!

Today I am sharing a layout that I made with my December 2015 scrap stash kit. I did buy a few new embellishments during the months of November and December but most of what I used in this it is from my older stash.

The layout is of the nativity set that I have had since my boys were little and I still set them out every year. I never kept them put up or out of touch for my children and I don't for my grandchildren. They are meant to be touch and handled so the stories of Christmas can be passed down.

I love the gold doily tucked in here.

Another gold doily. The gold dot paper in the background is from hobby lobby and I know it's prolly 5-6 years old.

At the start of the journaling is an OH JOY sentiment. It's actually part of a branding strip that I cut off and kept, I think it came from an Echo Park paper.

Be Jolly Cameron--Dec 2015 scrap stash

Hello Friends!!
Today I am sharing a layout I made using my December 2015 Christmas Scrap Stash kit. I bought a few new things during November and December but the bulk of my kit is made up of much older supplies.

The layout is of my sweet grandee Cameron and is from Christmas 2014, gosh it's hard to imagine he how much he has grown since this picture was taken, nearly a foot in height!

I used an older embossing folder on the metallic black paper and there is even a bit of scrap embossed paper behind the be jolly sticker.

The paper snowflake is new this year but the other embellishments are from the last several years.

The red snowflake stickers are prolly 4-6 years old.
